QR Code Generator
Create free QR codes for links, text, WiFi networks and contact cards, then download them as high-resolution PNG.
About the QR Code Generator
This free QR code generator creates scannable QR codes instantly in your browser — no watermark, no sign-up, no expiry. Switch between three modes: plain text or URL for links and messages, WiFi for a code that connects guests to your network automatically, and vCard for a digital business card that saves your name, phone, email and organisation to the scanner's contacts.
The QR code renders live as you type, so you can see exactly what you will get. Choose an output size of 256, 512 or 1024 pixels and download a crisp PNG — 1024 px is sharp enough for posters, table tents and print. Because generation happens locally on your device, your WiFi password and contact details are never uploaded to any server.
These are static QR codes: the data is encoded directly into the pattern, so they never expire, require no account and keep working forever without depending on this website. That makes them ideal for restaurant menus, event posters, product packaging, business cards and router labels.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make a QR code for my WiFi network?
Open the WiFi tab, enter your network name (SSID), select the encryption type (WPA/WPA2 for almost all modern routers) and type the password. The generated code follows the standard WIFI: format — when guests scan it with their phone camera, they are prompted to join your network instantly without typing anything.
Do QR codes made here expire?
No, never. These are static QR codes: your link, WiFi details or contact card are encoded directly into the black-and-white pattern itself. There is no redirect through our servers, no account and no subscription, so the code keeps working for as long as the content it points to exists.
What size QR code do I need for printing?
Download the 1024-pixel PNG for print. A QR code should be at least 2 × 2 cm (about 1 inch) on the page and follow the rule of thumb of scanning distance ÷ 10 — a poster scanned from 1 metre needs a code at least 10 cm wide. Always keep the white margin (quiet zone) around the code.
Can a QR code hold a whole contact card?
Yes. The vCard tab encodes your name, phone number, email and organisation in standard vCard 3.0 format. When someone scans it, their phone offers to save a new contact with all fields filled in. Keep the details concise — the more data encoded, the denser and harder to scan the code becomes.
Is it safe to put my WiFi password into this generator?
Yes — the QR code is drawn entirely by JavaScript in your browser. Your SSID, password and contact details never leave your device and are not stored or transmitted anywhere. You can even load the page, go offline, and generate the code without an internet connection.
Why won't my QR code scan?
The usual causes are printing it too small, low contrast, or cropping the white quiet zone around the pattern. Very long text also makes the code denser and harder to read — shorten the URL if possible. Test on a couple of phones at the actual size and distance it will be used.
