PDF Editor
Edit a PDF free — add text, boxes, highlights and images onto any page by clicking where you want them. Private, in your browser, nothing uploaded.
About the PDF Editor
Add content to a PDF without a desktop app. Pick a page, choose a tool, and click to place text, draw a rectangle or highlight, or drop in an image. Everything you add is listed so you can remove items before saving, and the finished page is rebuilt with pdf-lib into a normal PDF.
It is handy for filling in a non-interactive form, annotating a document, adding a note or stamp, or dropping a logo onto a page. The result keeps the original pages intact and simply draws your additions on top.
This is a lightweight editor for adding elements, not for changing existing text or images already in the PDF — reflowing original content needs the source file. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
How to Use the PDF Editor
- 1Upload the PDF and select the page you want to edit.
- 2Choose a tool — text, rectangle, highlight or image.
- 3Click or drag on the page to place each element.
- 4Click Apply Edits and download the updated PDF.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I edit the text that's already in the PDF?
No. This editor adds new elements — text, shapes, highlights and images — on top of the page. Changing existing text means editing the original document, since a finished PDF stores text as fixed content. Use it to annotate, fill or stamp pages.
Can I add my own image or logo?
Yes. Upload a PNG or JPG, then click on the page to place it and set its width. It is embedded into the PDF at that position.
What's the difference between a rectangle and a highlight?
A rectangle is a solid or outlined box; a highlight is a semi-transparent coloured box you can lay over text to mark it, like a highlighter pen. Both are placed by dragging on the page.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. All edits are applied in your browser with pdf-lib, so the document stays on your device.
