PDF Booklet Maker

Turn a PDF into a printable booklet free — pages re-ordered and placed two-up on landscape sheets for saddle-stitch folding. Private, in-browser.

About the PDF Booklet Maker

Create a fold-and-staple booklet from any PDF. The tool re-orders your pages using proper saddle-stitch imposition and places them two-up on landscape sheets, so when you print double-sided, fold the stack in half and staple the spine, the pages read in the correct order.

If your page count isn't a multiple of four, blank pages are added automatically to make the folding work. You can also choose right-edge binding for right-to-left languages. It is ideal for programmes, zines, orders of service and small handbooks.

Imposition runs on your device with pdf-lib — the file is never uploaded, and there are no watermarks or page limits.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I print the booklet correctly?

Print double-sided, flipping on the short edge, so the two-up sheets back up correctly. Then stack the sheets, fold the whole pile in half along the centre, and staple along the fold (the spine). The pages will read in order from the front.

Why were blank pages added?

Saddle-stitch booklets need a page count that's a multiple of four, because each folded sheet holds four pages. If your document doesn't divide evenly, the tool pads the end with blank pages so the folding lines up — the summary tells you how many were added.

What is right-edge binding for?

Choose right-edge binding for right-to-left languages such as Arabic or Urdu, where the booklet opens from the other side. It mirrors the page placement so the reading order stays correct for those documents.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The booklet is imposed entirely in your browser with pdf-lib, so your document stays private.
