Fill PDF Forms

Fill interactive PDF forms free — type into detected text fields, checkboxes and dropdowns, then optionally flatten. Private, in your browser.

About the Fill PDF Forms

Complete a fillable PDF form without extra software. The tool reads the form's interactive fields — text boxes, checkboxes, radio buttons and dropdowns — and lays them out as a simple form you fill in. Enter your values, then download a completed PDF with everything in place.

You can optionally flatten the result, which bakes the values into the page so they can no longer be edited — perfect for finalising a form before emailing or archiving it. The whole process uses pdf-lib in your browser.

Nothing is uploaded, so sensitive details you type into a form stay on your device. If a PDF has no interactive fields, it isn't a fillable form — use a PDF editor to add text on top instead.

How to Use the Fill PDF Forms

  1. 1Upload a fillable PDF form.
  2. 2Fill in the detected fields, tick boxes and choose dropdown options.
  3. 3Optionally turn on Flatten to lock the values.
  4. 4Click Fill & Download to save the completed PDF.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if the tool says my PDF has no form fields?

That means the document isn't an interactive form — it has no fillable fields defined. To add answers, use the PDF Editor to place text on top of the page instead of filling fields.

What does flattening do?

Flattening draws each field's value permanently onto the page and removes the interactive field, so recipients see the filled form but can no longer change it. Leave it off if you want the form to stay editable.

Which field types are supported?

Text fields, checkboxes, radio-button groups and dropdown lists are detected and made fillable. The tool reads their names and options directly from the PDF.

Are my answers uploaded?

No. The form is read and filled entirely in your browser with pdf-lib, so anything you type stays on your device.
