Extract PDF Pages

Extract pages from a PDF online — pick single pages or ranges like 1-3,7 and download them as a new PDF. Free, private, no upload, no signup.

About the Extract PDF Pages

This free tool extracts exactly the pages you need from any PDF and saves them as a new document. Drop in your file, type the pages you want — a single page like "5", a range like "1-3", or a mix like "1-3,7,10-12" — and download a clean new PDF containing just those pages, in the order you listed them.

It is perfect for pulling one chapter from an e-book, a single invoice from a scanned batch, selected slides from a deck, or the two pages a client actually needs from a 90-page report. The original file is never modified, and extracted pages keep their exact original quality, size and formatting — nothing is re-rendered or recompressed.

Everything happens in your browser using client-side PDF processing. Your document is never uploaded to a server, which makes it safe for contracts, bank statements and other sensitive files.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I extract specific pages from a PDF for free?

Upload your PDF here (it stays in your browser), type the page numbers or ranges you want — for example "1-3,7" — and click Extract pages. A new PDF containing just those pages is generated locally and downloaded. No signup, watermark or page limit.

Can I extract non-consecutive pages, like pages 2, 5 and 9?

Yes. Separate pages and ranges with commas: "2,5,9" extracts exactly those three pages, and "1-3,8,12-14" mixes ranges with single pages. Pages appear in the new PDF in the order you list them, so "9,2,5" produces page 9 first.

Does extracting pages reduce the quality of the PDF?

No. The pages are copied directly from the source document with their original fonts, images, vector graphics and layout intact — nothing is rasterized or recompressed. The extracted PDF is pixel-identical to those pages in the original.

Is it safe to extract pages from confidential PDFs here?

Yes. The entire extraction runs in JavaScript inside your browser using the pdf-lib library. Your file is never uploaded, transmitted or stored anywhere — you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool still works.

What is the difference between extracting and splitting a PDF?

Extracting pulls a chosen subset of pages into one new file, which is what you usually want. Splitting divides the whole document — for example into one file per page. If you need every page as a separate PDF, use our split PDF tool, which can also zip all the pieces together.

Why does my password-protected PDF fail to load?

Encrypted PDFs cannot be read without the password, so the tool asks you to unlock the file first. Remove the password using the PDF's original application or an unlock tool, then extract the pages you need.
