Crop PDF

Crop PDF page margins or a selected area free — trim whitespace or scan borders and save a tidier PDF. Private, in your browser, nothing uploaded.

About the Crop PDF

Trim the edges of a PDF to remove wide margins, scanner borders or unwanted whitespace. Set how much to cut from the top, bottom, left and right, apply it to every page or a chosen range, and download a cleaner document that focuses on the content that matters.

Cropping adjusts each page's visible box rather than deleting anything permanently, so the text stays selectable and images keep their resolution. It is ideal for tightening up scans, preparing pages for print, or fitting a document to a smaller display.

Everything runs on your device with pdf-lib — the file is never uploaded, and there are no watermarks, page limits or sign-ups.

How to Use the Crop PDF

  1. 1Upload the PDF you want to crop.
  2. 2Enter the margin to remove from each side, and optionally a page range.
  3. 3Click Crop PDF to apply it in your browser.
  4. 4Download the cropped PDF.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does cropping delete the content outside the crop box?

It changes each page's crop box so only the area you keep is displayed and printed. The underlying content technically remains in the file but is hidden outside the new box, which is how standard PDF cropping works. To physically remove hidden data, flatten or rasterise the pages afterwards.

Can I crop only some pages?

Yes. Enter a page range such as 1-3,7 to crop just those pages and leave the rest untouched, or leave the field blank to crop the whole document with the same margins.

Will cropping reduce image or text quality?

No. Cropping only adjusts the visible page area — text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution. Nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The crop is applied entirely in your browser with pdf-lib, so the file never leaves your device.
