Pakistan Petrol Cost Calculator

Estimate trip fuel cost in Pakistan: distance, fuel average and current petrol or diesel price give litres needed, total cost and per-person share.

About the Pakistan Petrol Cost Calculator

Planning a drive from Lahore to Islamabad, a family trip to Murree, or your monthly office commute budget? Enter the distance, your vehicle's fuel average (km per litre) and today's pump price, and this calculator gives the litres needed, the total cost in rupees, cost per kilometre and — handy for shared trips — the per-person share.

Petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan are revised by the government every 15 days on OGRA's recommendation, so the price field is fully editable with the default only as a placeholder. A round-trip toggle doubles the distance, and typical fuel averages are hinted: small hatchbacks manage 12–16 km/l, SUVs 8–10, and motorcycles 35–45.

Everything runs instantly in your browser. Remember that real-world consumption rises 10–20% with AC use, city traffic and hilly routes, so treat highway-average results as the optimistic end of the range.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I calculate petrol cost for a trip?

Divide the distance by your fuel average to get litres, then multiply by the price per litre. Example: 375 km at 13 km/l needs about 28.8 litres — at Rs. 272/litre, roughly Rs. 7,850. This calculator does it all instantly, including round trips.

What is a typical fuel average for cars in Pakistan?

Small 660–1000cc hatchbacks (Alto, Cultus, Wagon-R): 12–16 km/l. Sedans (Corolla, Civic, City): 10–14 km/l. SUVs: 8–10 km/l. Motorcycles (70–125cc): 35–45 km/l. AC use and city traffic reduce these noticeably.

How often do petrol prices change in Pakistan?

Every 15 days — the government announces revisions around the 1st and 16th of each month based on OGRA's recommendations and international oil prices. Always update the price field with the current rate.

Does this include tolls?

No — it calculates fuel only. For motorway trips add M-tag tolls separately (e.g. Lahore–Islamabad on the M-2 has its own toll schedule that changes periodically).

How do I split the cost between passengers?

Set the number of people in the split field — the per-person stat divides the total fuel cost equally, the usual arrangement for shared inter-city trips.
