About the Gold Price Calculator Pakistan
This gold price calculator converts any gold weight into Pakistani rupees using the units actually used in Pakistan's gold trade: tola (11.664 g), gram and masha (0.972 g, 12 masha to a tola). Enter your weight, pick the purity — 24K pure gold, 22K (most Pakistani jewellery), 21K or 18K — and type in today's 24K rate per tola or per gram.
The tool intentionally uses a manual rate instead of a live feed: gold rates in Pakistan change daily and vary slightly between cities, so the honest approach is to check the current rate from your local sarafa (bullion) market or a rates page you trust and enter it yourself. You instantly get the value of your gold, a comparison table showing what the same weight is worth at every karat, and an optional jewellery cost estimate that adds the jeweller's making charges percentage.
Everything is calculated in your browser — nothing is uploaded and there is no signup. If you own 7.5 tola of gold or more, remember that zakat may be due on it; the built-in cross-link takes you straight to our zakat on gold calculator.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many grams are in one tola?
One tola is 11.664 grams — the standard used across Pakistan's gold market. One masha is 0.972 grams, and 12 masha make one tola.
Why doesn't the tool show today's live gold rate?
Gold rates in Pakistan change every day and can differ slightly between city sarafa markets. Rather than show a possibly stale number, this calculator asks you to enter today's rate from your local sarafa market or a rate source you trust — the math is then exact.
How is 22K gold value calculated from the 24K rate?
22K gold is 22/24 (about 91.7%) pure, so the calculator multiplies your weight by the 24K rate and then by the purity fraction. The comparison table shows the same weight valued at 24K, 22K, 21K and 18K side by side.
What are making charges?
Making (labour/wastage) charges are what jewellers add on top of the metal value when selling jewellery — commonly 6-15% in Pakistan. Enter a percentage to estimate the full purchase price. Note that when selling gold back, jewellers deduct rather than add these charges.
How many tola of gold is the nisab for zakat?
The gold nisab is 7.5 tola (87.48 grams). If your gold, alone or combined with other zakatable wealth, meets the threshold for a full lunar year, 2.5% zakat is due — use our Zakat on Gold Calculator to work it out.
Does resale value equal the calculated gold value?
Usually it is a bit lower. Jewellers deduct making charges, wastage and sometimes stones' weight when buying back jewellery, so treat the calculated figure as the metal value, not a guaranteed resale price.
