SVG to PNG Converter
Convert SVG files or pasted markup to PNG at any size up to 8192 px, with transparent or colored background. Free, renders in your browser.
About the SVG to PNG Converter
SVG is perfect for logos and icons on the web, but many places still demand raster images — Office documents, older CMSs, marketplaces, app stores and most social platforms. This converter renders any SVG to a crisp PNG at exactly the size you choose, up to 8192 pixels wide.
Upload an .svg file or paste the markup directly. Because SVG is vector, you can export at any resolution without quality loss — the height is calculated automatically from the SVG's own aspect ratio (viewBox or width/height attributes). Keep the background transparent or fill it with white or any custom color.
Rendering uses your browser's own SVG engine and the canvas API, so nothing is uploaded — safe for unreleased logos and client artwork. Note that SVGs referencing external images, fonts or scripts can't be rendered this way; self-contained SVGs (the vast majority) convert perfectly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert SVG to PNG without losing quality?
SVG is vector, so there's no fixed quality to lose — just export at the size you need. For print or high-DPI screens, set the width to 2–4× the display size (e.g. 2048 px for a 512 px logo slot).
Will the PNG keep the transparent background?
Yes — choose Transparent and the exported PNG has true alpha transparency wherever the SVG has no content. Pick white or a custom color if the destination doesn't support transparency.
Why does my SVG fail to convert?
Browser-canvas rendering can't fetch external resources: SVGs linking to external images, web fonts or stylesheets, or using foreignObject, will fail or render incompletely. Inline any external parts, or convert text to paths in your design tool first.
What size should I export?
Match the largest place the PNG will be used, then double it for retina screens. Common choices: 512 or 1024 px for app icons and logos, 1200 px for social sharing images.
Is my SVG uploaded anywhere?
No — the file or markup is rendered by your own browser and drawn to a local canvas. Nothing is transmitted.
