Social Media Image Resizer

Resize one image for every platform at once: Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and WhatsApp sizes — download all as a ZIP. Free, no signup.

About the Social Media Image Resizer

Every platform wants a different image size: Instagram posts are 1080 × 1080, stories are 1080 × 1920, Facebook links look best at 1200 × 630, X (Twitter) at 1600 × 900, LinkedIn at 1200 × 627, YouTube thumbnails at 1280 × 720 and WhatsApp profile photos at 500 × 500. This tool takes one image and produces all of them in a single click.

Tick the platforms you need, and the tool center cover-crops your image to each exact size — no stretching, no distortion. You get a preview grid of every version with individual downloads, or one ZIP containing the complete platform-ready pack.

Like every AIWalay tool, the resizing runs completely in your browser. Your image is never uploaded, so brand assets and personal photos stay private while you prepare a full cross-platform post in seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the correct image sizes for social media in one place?

Instagram post 1080 × 1080, Instagram story 1080 × 1920, Facebook post/link 1200 × 630, X (Twitter) post 1600 × 900, LinkedIn post 1200 × 627, YouTube thumbnail 1280 × 720, WhatsApp profile photo 500 × 500. This tool outputs all of them from one source image.

Will my image get stretched to fit each platform?

No. Each version is a center cover-crop: the image is scaled proportionally to fill the frame and the overflow is trimmed. Keep your main subject near the center for best results across all formats.

What resolution should my source image be?

Use the largest image you have — ideally at least 1920 px on the longest side. The biggest output is the 1080 × 1920 story, so anything at or above that stays perfectly sharp.

Is the image uploaded to your servers?

No. All cropping and resizing happens in your browser with the canvas API, and the ZIP is built locally too. Your image never leaves your device.

Why is the Facebook size 1200 × 630?

1200 × 630 (1.91:1) is Facebook's recommended size for shared-link previews and feed images — it displays without cropping on both desktop and mobile and is also the standard Open Graph image size.
