Photo Enhancer

Auto-enhance photos in your browser: one-click levels, contrast and color correction plus fine-tune sliders. Free, private, no signup or watermark.

About the Photo Enhancer

This free photo enhancer fixes dull, dark or washed-out photos with one click. Press Auto Enhance and the tool analyzes your photo's histogram, stretches each color channel's levels (1st to 99th percentile), corrects contrast and adds a mild saturation boost — the same kind of automatic adjustment photo apps apply, computed entirely in your browser.

An optional white-balance correction fixes yellow or blue color casts using the gray-world method, which is handy for indoor photos taken under warm lighting. After the automatic pass you get manual brightness, contrast and saturation sliders to fine-tune the result, with a live before/after comparison.

This is automatic enhancement in your browser — deterministic image math, not an AI model — so it is instant, free and completely private. Your photo is never uploaded, and you can download the enhanced version as JPG or PNG with no watermark.

How to Use the Photo Enhancer

  1. 1Upload the photo you want to improve.
  2. 2Optionally tick the white-balance fix if the photo has a color cast, then click Auto Enhance.
  3. 3Compare before and after, and fine-tune brightness, contrast or saturation if needed.
  4. 4Pick JPG or PNG and download the enhanced photo.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the auto enhance work?

It computes a histogram of your photo, stretches each channel so the darkest 1% maps to black and the brightest 1% maps to white (auto-levels), which also fixes flat contrast, then adds a gentle +10% saturation boost. Optionally it applies gray-world white balance to neutralize color casts.

Is this AI photo enhancement?

No — it is classic, deterministic image processing done in your browser. That makes it instant and private, and the results are predictable: better exposure, contrast and color, without any AI-invented changes to faces or details.

Can it fix very dark or blurry photos?

It recovers a lot from underexposed photos because level-stretching brightens them intelligently. It cannot fix blur or motion shake — sharpness that was never captured can't be restored by any levels adjustment.

When should I enable the white-balance fix?

When the whole photo has a color tint — yellowish indoor lighting, blueish shade or overcast light. Skip it for photos that are supposed to be colorful (sunsets, stage lighting), as gray-world correction can mute intentional color.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. All analysis and enhancement happens locally in your browser using the canvas API. Your photo never leaves your device.
