Working Days Calculator
Count working days between two dates excluding weekends and holidays, or add N business days to a date — instant deadline and delivery estimates.
About the Working Days Calculator
This working days calculator counts the business days between any two dates, excluding weekends and however many public holidays fall in your range. Pick a start and end date and you instantly see the working-day count alongside the total calendar days and the weekend days removed — the numbers you need for project timelines, notice periods, salaries and SLAs.
Weekend rules differ around the world, so Saturday and Sunday exclusions are separate checkboxes: keep both on for a standard Monday–Friday week, or switch one off for six-day work weeks common in retail and in several countries. Public holidays vary by country and year, so you enter the count for your range and it's subtracted from the total.
A second section answers the other everyday question — "what date is 10 business days from now?" Enter a start date and a number of working days, and it returns the landing date, skipping the weekends you configured. Handy for delivery estimates, invoice due dates and statutory response deadlines.

- 2Leave Saturdays and Sundays excluded, or adjust for your work week.
- 3Enter how many public holidays fall on weekdays within the range.
- 4Read the working days, total days and weekend count — or use the second section to add N working days to a date.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many working days are in a month?
Typically 20 to 23, depending on the month's length and how its weekends fall. A 30-day month contains 8 or 9 weekend days, leaving 21–22 weekdays before holidays. Across a full year there are about 260–262 weekdays; subtract your country's public holidays (commonly 8–15) for the true working-day count.
Are the start and end dates included in the count?
Yes — the range is inclusive on both ends. Monday to Friday of the same week counts as 5 working days, and a single day range (same start and end date) counts as 1 if it's a weekday. If you need an exclusive count, such as full days between two events, subtract one from the result.
How do I count business days if Saturday is a working day?
Untick "Exclude Saturdays" and keep Sundays excluded — the calculator then treats Monday through Saturday as working days, matching the six-day week used in much of South Asia, the Middle East and in retail. Both weekend checkboxes also apply to the "add working days" section below.
How does the holidays field work?
Public holidays differ by country, region and year, so the tool doesn't guess them. Look up how many holidays fall on weekdays inside your range (holidays on weekends are already excluded) and enter that number — it's subtracted from the weekday count to give the true working days.
What date is 10 business days from today?
Ten business days is two full working weeks, so from a Monday you land on the Friday of the following week — a Wednesday start lands on the Wednesday two weeks later. Use the "Add working days to a date" section: it walks forward day by day, skipping your configured weekends, and shows the exact landing date.
