Days Until Calculator

Count exactly how many days until any date — New Year, Ramadan, Eid, Christmas or your own event — with weeks, months and a live countdown.

About the Days Until Calculator

The Days Until Calculator tells you exactly how many days are left until any future date — an exam, a wedding, a visa appointment, New Year or Eid. Pick a date (or tap a quick chip for common events) and you instantly get the countdown in days, weeks and months, plus the day of the week the date falls on.

A progress bar shows where the date sits in its year, so you can see at a glance how far through the year you'll be. Because the calculation always runs against today's date, the countdown updates automatically every day — bookmark the page and watch the number drop.

Everything is calculated in your browser using your local timezone, so the answer matches your calendar, not a server on the other side of the world.

How to Use the Days Until Calculator

  1. 1Pick your target date, or tap a quick chip like New Year, Ramadan or Christmas.
  2. 2Read the countdown in days, weeks and months — updated live as you type.
  3. 3Check which weekday the date falls on and its position in the year.
  4. 4Bookmark the page — the countdown refreshes automatically each day.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many days until New Year?

Tap the New Year chip and the tool counts the exact days from today to January 1 of next year. Because it recalculates daily, the number is always current.

How many days until Ramadan 2027?

Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around February 7, 2027 (subject to moon sighting). The Ramadan quick chip always jumps to the next expected start date and the countdown shows the days remaining — treat it as approximate by a day or two.

Does the calculator count today as a day?

No. It counts full days between today and the target, so if your event is tomorrow the answer is 1 day. If you pick today's date it shows 0 and tells you the event is today.

Can I count days since a past date?

Yes — pick any past date and the tool switches to 'days since', showing how long ago it was in days, weeks and months.

Why does it also show weeks and months?

Long countdowns are easier to grasp in bigger units: 300 days reads better as 42 weeks or 9 months and 26 days. The tool shows all three so you can use whichever fits.
