Calendar Generator

Free calendar generator — create printable monthly or yearly calendars with your week start and highlighted holidays, then download or copy them.

About the Calendar Generator

This free calendar generator builds a clean monthly or full-year calendar for any year from 1 to 9999. Choose whether the week starts on Monday or Sunday, and optionally list holidays or important dates — they are shaded in the calendar so birthdays, national holidays and deadlines stand out at a glance. Today's date is highlighted automatically when you generate the current month.

When the calendar looks right, download it as a printable HTML page (open it and press Ctrl+P for a tidy paper copy) or copy a plain-text version that pastes neatly into emails, notes apps and monospaced documents. The text layout follows the classic Unix cal format, so it lines up perfectly in code comments and README files too.

Everything is generated instantly in your browser — no signup, no watermarks and no data sent anywhere. It's handy for planning school terms, content schedules, shift rosters, or simply printing a fresh month for the fridge.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I print the generated calendar?

Click Download printable HTML, open the downloaded file in your browser and press Ctrl+P (Cmd+P on Mac). The layout uses print-friendly styles: each month fits neatly on the page, avoids being split across pages, and holiday cells stay shaded so they survive the trip to paper.

Can I generate a calendar for a whole year at once?

Yes. Switch the calendar type to Full year and all twelve months are generated in a responsive grid. The printable download arranges them in a flowing layout that typically fits on two to four printed pages depending on your paper size and margins.

How do I add my country's holidays?

Type them into the holidays box, one per line or comma separated, using YYYY-MM-DD (2026-08-14) or the shorter MM-DD (8-14) which assumes the selected year. Those dates get a highlighted background in both the on-screen preview and the downloaded printable version.

Does it support both Monday and Sunday week starts?

Yes — pick whichever convention you use. Monday-first is the ISO 8601 standard common in Europe, Asia and most workplaces, while Sunday-first is traditional in the US calendar layout. The column headers and day placement adjust instantly.

Which years can I generate?

Any year from 1 to 9999 using the standard Gregorian calendar rules your browser applies, including correct leap years (divisible by 4, except century years not divisible by 400). For historical dates before 1582 the calendar is proleptic Gregorian, which may differ from historical Julian records.
