About the Salary Tax Calculator Pakistan (2026-27)
This free salary tax calculator for Pakistan computes your income tax for tax year 2026-2027 using the official salaried-person slabs. Enter your gross monthly salary and instantly see your monthly tax deduction, monthly take-home pay, and the full yearly picture — yearly income, yearly tax and yearly income after tax.
It also works in reverse, which most calculators don't: switch to "Take-home → Salary" mode, enter the monthly amount you want to receive after tax, and the calculator tells you the gross monthly salary you need to negotiate. This is invaluable when discussing offers, since employers quote gross figures while you spend net ones.
For FY 2026-27, salary income up to Rs. 600,000 per year (Rs. 50,000 per month) is tax-free. Above that, progressive slabs apply from 1% up to 35% for annual salaries above Rs. 7,000,000. The full slab table is shown below the calculator, and all computation happens in your browser — your salary details are never uploaded anywhere.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the income tax slabs in Pakistan for 2026-2027?
For salaried persons in FY 2026-27: income up to Rs. 600,000 is tax-free; Rs. 600,001–1,200,000 is taxed at 1% of the excess; Rs. 1,200,001–2,200,000 at Rs. 6,000 + 11%; Rs. 2,200,001–3,200,000 at Rs. 116,000 + 20%; Rs. 3,200,001–4,100,000 at Rs. 316,000 + 25%; Rs. 4,100,001–5,600,000 at Rs. 541,000 + 29%; Rs. 5,600,001–7,000,000 at Rs. 976,000 + 32%; and above Rs. 7,000,000 at Rs. 1,424,000 + 35% of the excess.
How much salary is tax-free in Pakistan in 2026-27?
Annual taxable salary up to Rs. 600,000 — equal to Rs. 50,000 per month — attracts zero income tax. If you earn slightly more, only the amount above Rs. 600,000 is taxed, and at just 1% in the first bracket, so a Rs. 60,000 monthly salary pays only Rs. 100 per month in tax.
How is monthly salary tax calculated in Pakistan?
Your monthly salary is annualised (multiplied by 12), the annual tax is computed from the FBR slab table for salaried persons, and that annual tax is divided by 12 to get the monthly deduction your employer withholds. This calculator does exactly that, and also shows the effective tax rate as a percentage of your gross salary.
Can I find the gross salary needed for a specific take-home amount?
Yes — switch to "Take-home → Salary" mode and enter the monthly amount you want after tax. The calculator inverts the slab formula exactly and shows the gross monthly salary you would need, along with the tax that will be deducted. This is very useful for salary negotiations.
Does this calculator include surcharge, deductions or tax credits?
No. It applies the standard salaried slabs only. Any surcharge on very high incomes, Zakat deductions, tax credits (such as charitable donations) or adjustments for other income sources are not included. For a precise liability, consult the FBR or a qualified tax adviser.
Is my salary information private?
Completely. All calculations run in your browser using JavaScript — nothing you type is uploaded, stored or logged on any server. You can even load the page and disconnect from the internet; the calculator keeps working.
